The Space

The Downs Barn offers a warm and characterful place to stay, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. Inside, you’ll find an open, light-filled living space with exposed beams, a comfortable sofa, TV, and WiFi - everything you need to properly switch off or settle in.

The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook and linger, while crisp linens, soft bedding, and thoughtful touches throughout create a true home-from-home in the heart of the South Downs.

The barn includes a double bedroom and a stylish bathroom with a walk-in shower, along with everyday essentials like tea, coffee, milk, and olive oil ready for your arrival.

Outside, there’s a private seating area with a firepit in a peaceful walled garden to enjoy the views - perfect for slow mornings or evenings under big skies.

If you’d like to make your stay a little more special, we can arrange a welcome hamper of local produce and a bottle of Titch Hill wine. You’ll also find Freight HHG toiletries and locally roasted Tigermoth coffee waiting for you.
