The Space
The Downs Barn offers a warm and characterful place to stay, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. Inside, you’ll find an open, light-filled living space with exposed beams, a fully equipped kitchen, and everything you need to settle straight in. Crisp linens, soft bedding, and thoughtful touches throughout make it a home-from-home in the heart of the South Downs.
The barn includes a stylish bathroom with a walk-in shower, plus everyday essentials like tea, coffee, milk, and olive oil ready for your arrival. Outside, there’s private seating and a a walled garden from to enjoy the views — perfect for relaxed mornings or evenings under big skies.
To make your stay extra special, we can provide breakfast supplies and a bottle of Titch Hill wine on request. You’ll also find lush toiletries by Wallow waiting for you, and locally roasted Tigermoth coffee to start your mornings in style.
Unique to the barn
The Downs Barn sleeps up to four people, with one bedroom featuring a comfortable double bed and a sofa bed in the living area. With high ceilings, wide windows, and views across rolling countryside, it’s an inviting space for couples, friends, or small families looking to switch off and recharge.
The Setting
The barn is in a tranquil and remote location on the edge of South Downs, with footpaths leading straight out into the National Park. It’s a place made for long walks, picnics, and evenings soaking up the stillness of nature. Whether you’re exploring the hills or staying put, it’s the perfect backdrop for slowing down.

In 2022 we took Titch Hill Farm into in-hand farming. This is the first time that our family has farmed the land in the estate's 250-year history.
