Chantonbury and Cissbury Ring
Standing 783 feet above sea level, the rings offer glorious far-reaching views out to sea and across the countryside. The names refer to the rings of trees planted on the remains of Iron Age Forts situated 2.5 miles apart at Chanctonbury and Cissbury.
A number of walks take in these sites from our B&B at Titch Hill House. Get hauntological at Chanctonbury and summon Lucifer to bring you a bowl of soup by running around the clump seven times anti-clockwise. Or so local legend has it.
